I agree lex Luther is a sleeper to be the second tallest drop but it feels controlled and very forceless. And they don’t run Superman and Lex Luther at the same time anymore. Same goes for Zumanjaro at Great Adventure
Yea as a California resident I've been saying for years SFMM needs to step up their scenery game, Like SCREAM is theme in a F'ing parking lot .... If they just took Magic Mountain's coasters , Knott's theming & a few of Disneyland's family rides you got the perfect Southern California Theme Park !
Personally, I hate X2. It's very intense but way too painful for me and I never feel secure on it. Glad you guys liked it. I really don't find Twisted Colossus to be that exciting, but when it races it makes it a lot more fun. Scream! is one of my favorites in the park, I don't know why it gets so much hate.
The seat rotations on X2 are shakey, but the track itself is hardly rough. For me the shaky seats make the ride experience better because it's like it's shaking you because it's angry, and I love that. Maybe I'm just crazy (I don't doubt it) but I still love it. ❤️ X2
PastTime777 SFMM is only open year round (365 days) starting in 2018. Hence their new slogan "now 365 days of thrills." Prior to 2018, the park was only open about 250 days in a year, meaning that in the slow months, the park was closed on weekdays and open on the weekends only. Another factor is that SFMM is located in an area full of world-class theme parks: Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Universal Studios Hollywood, Knott's Berry Farm, SeaWorld San Diego. It has to compete with all the big boys whereas CP has no real competitors in its area. Yet, park attendance in 2017 was 3,604,000 for CP and 3,365,000 for SFMM. A 239,000 difference. Just wait until early 2019 for Tea's attendance report for 2018 now that SFMM is open 365 days a year. I expect it to beat the likes of CP and Canada's Wonderland though I'm not sure if it will beat Knott's Berry Farm which welcomed 4,034,000 visitors in 2017.
DownsideUp , Being the only major park in the area is the REASON you have a slightly higher attendance. If CP was near WDW or any other Six Flags it wouldn't even come close to SFMM. No options so people are forced to go there. Us having other MAJOR theme parks around us and still pulling in the numbers is far more impressive.
dirty fozzie The station could be placed behind Apocalypse and the track could travel along the hillsides south of Viper, Roaring Rapids, and X2, curve near the entrance and parking booths then turn back.
