Be inspired to learn. Then aspire to disturb.
Gotta love the people bitching how this is Wayne Houchin's effect. This is no different than a 2 card transposition excpet he folds a card. That trick dates so far back it's in the public domain. Baffles me that someone would want to credit this to wayne houchin, magicians were doing double lifts before he was ever born
I remember 3 or 4 years ago I did this to the girl that is now my girlfriend. I'm a really bad magician but I pulled it off with her on that day. One of the cutest things I remember. She wants me to do it again but I don't wanna risk messing up and just remembered this when my friend asked for dating advice. Hopefully this works for him as well :p.
he reminds me of Harry from "the lost art of keeping secret" by eva rice.
well, at least that's how i imagined Harry would look like. except for the two different color eyes, which obviously, definitely look like dominic sherwood's eyes.
Maybe he didn't know who created it first. He said it was also performed by Dynamo AND he said some call it the French Kiss. Magic is kind of a community: we all do each others' tricks from time to time, and Jarek is just kind of a teacher to help pass the word along about some tricks. He never said he came up with the trick; in fact, he said that its performed by many other people who call it a different name.
Great tutorial. The promo videos for these things never show you the performance from start to finish. I think a lot of people who think of buying the trick would feel cheated when finding out it's just a sequence of double lifts which they would probably know already and would suss out if they saw a full performance.
And guess what? Dynamo does this trick too. But, the fact is, Wayne Houchin created this and released as "French Kiss". Now these people like Disturb Reality call it "sealed with a kiss", "heartbreaker routine", magic kissing card trick" and reveal it for FREE as their own tricks. No respect for the creator whatsoever.
+Kevin Karlsson what the hell are you on about? The fact wayne dosent have a patent on it also, has nothing to do with what I said. I was responding to people pissed off over him revealing magic tricks like the magicians that recieved the media attention were the first ones to figure them out and have some sort of a patent.
That trick is SICK!! Gonna try it on my girlfriend this weekend, now that I know how its done, lol... Thank you!!
And, I need some advice.., Would my tablet work good for doing card trick videos?
You, and several others have inspired me to start doing card trick videos.
And, if you don't mind disturb, could you check my future videos and give some pointers?
Sinse Evan won't give the correct credit, I will. Thank you, Evan a.k.a DisturbReality for ripping off Wayne Houchin, an original, brilliantly smart magician. Please don't rip off people, Evan, this trick is gold and should stay that way, don't revert it back to a valueless form of carbon
There will be a time in history when almost everybody will know everything about card magic. Such a shame. It already feels depressing when somebody on the street knows the method and doesn't stay put and watch, imagine 70% of the people you walk up to know the method and screw you up. Sigh...
PS: Do simple tricks with awesome presentation folks, best experience for spectators and less trouble for you.
Magic is not about the trick, but the performance. A simple person who knows this trick can easily make a crowd become disinterested, but an experienced magician will keep their audience intrigued and involved regardless of whether they know the trick or not.
