I'm sorry but about the "bad mom thing" ... They obviously at one point of their lives didn't think about being a good mom (behaving in a way that keeps them away from prison and with their kids) instead they chose actively to go down another path. It doesn't mean they don't love their kids or the other way around but at this turning point in their lives something was more important to them than their kids or they would've chosen otherwise. Just My opinion.

Prison moms make *TERRIBLE MOMS*

I loved this, dearly.

I believe in rehabilitation for all of them, and they are all humans and deserve respect. Saying they are good moms is out of line though. Even if you were a good mom out of prison, you made a decision that put you away from them. Unable to raise them, see them, comfort them. That’s in the case of it not being due to addiction or something. Your child has to grow up with that stigma forever.

Got to remember, all these females broke the law and got caught...Now they are serving their punishments....So how smart are they? Their choices were just horrible.
I'm not a pig, but when you start fighting over showers, does it end with a girl-girl shower scene? Like kisses and rubbing each other with soapy hands?

I agree with all those truths.. But I strongly disagree with the assumption that all series stereotype those things in a untrue light.. OITNB never claimed prisoners are always fighting, dirty lowlife bad mams, they show there is injustice and different people in there. Yes it dramatises it, of course, it is a show after all, but I think it really tries to show the prisoners as humans.

Its really not shocking at all that there are good people sitting behind bars right now. 1) drug crimes. I know several good people who feel victim to drug addiction and the vast majority of drug addicts arent you're stereotypical "I will stab you for a hit" kind of people. They're good people who had a rough go in life. And 2) good people make mistakes too. Sometimes its a "wrong place wrong time situation." There's people who steal food or blankets or even money to support their families when they've been trying to find an honest living but are continuously rejected and didn't know where else to turn.

There have been cases where innocent people have been wrongfully convicted because they couldn’t afford a proper lawyer or representation. You can’t assume everything you hear is 💯 fact. And it’s hard for them once they’re out because their reputation is ruined

I was in prison for 3 months for growing weed. A personal stash for myself not to sell. There are a lot of ppl in prison who are really good ppl. Things happen sometimes and some ppl actually learn from their mistakes. I know I did.
Amber Jones (1 hour ago)
Yeah ur right Christina. When i got caught growing weed I was a heroin addict. I asked the judge to activate my prison time so I could get clean and it worked. When i was released I moved to a totally different state to get away from drugs. But unfortunately I was one of the very few who desperately wanted to get off drugs and most others dont want to. And the rehabs they do have is way to expensive to afford.
Christina Luv (9 hours ago)
Amber Jones - I’m sorry! If it worked for you then that’s awesome. I just feel there should be more rehabs instead of prisons. I didn’t mean to snap at you. You obviously did well 👏🏻🙋🏼‍♀️

I’ve worked in a state prison for 24 years. In my opinion, the best rehabilitation tools are age and education. Gang members are almost always 25 years old or younger and no high school diploma/ GED. But sometimes appearances can be deceiving, I’ve seen inmates who appear to be intelligent and polite but the moment they hear the word “ No” , they zap out and you see the real person. Over the years though, I’ve found that inmates are as varied as society because they are a cross section of society. The only thing that all of them have in common is they are convicted criminals and that’s it. I look at things a lot different now than when I started. At the beginning, I was a ‘ lock them in a cage so they can’t harm anyone else’ type. I realized that 98% of inmates get released and what are putting out into society could be a complete psychopath. Teaching someone a better life is much more effective. Statistics proof me right. You also have some inmates too stupid to comprehend anything. You can’t fix stupid. The vast majority of inmates would agree that they don’t want stupid people around so they want them gone.

If they loved their children they wouldn’t be in prison. Obviously they put themselves first. All of those children deserve better.
Vicki Newby (7 days ago)
I did 9 1/2 yrs. Prison offers the tools so you can choose to rehabilitate yourself with. Rehabilitation comes from within and I saw many people who just were not ready to change themselves. I made a mistake, I paid my debt. I stayed to myself, I had people I talked to. Everyone has their own story of why they're there. Who am I to judge. Peace to all the sisters doing time and the ones who struggle daily after getting out. Stay strong, you'll be ok eventually.

“I’m a great mom” Honey, u are in prison....
5Bigfoots (10 days ago)
You can't be a good mom if you're not there. No matter how you feel about your kids or how they feel about you. If you decided to risk missing out on your children's lives, whether you get caught or not, that's being a bad mom. Same goes for men. If you're not there, you're not being a good parent.

Somebody tell me what did Toc’Quianna did!? Because she looks and seems like a well composed teacher — counselor and all around individual. These women are very collected!
Brandon Ortiz (14 days ago)
Jordan Keel looks completely different in her mug shots. You can see them if you look her up on the Oklahoma Department of Corrections website. In this interview, she looks like a normal woman you'd meet working in some office in New York. But in her mug shots, her skin is bad, her teeth are rotting, and her head is shaved on one side. You can tell that drugs (probably meth) really had a grasp on her back in 2015.

I was locked up for 6 months after I beat my mom and older sister. After wasting my time behind bards, they released me, realizing they made a huge mistake and need to arrest my family instead. My family ran away to two different countries within 8 years of time. Mother and sister never went to prison. But father got 42 years since Jan 2019. The law works in horrible, idiotic ways. But my mission isn’t over. And my mom and sister will soon pay for all their crimes as well. I received great justice. But almost a decade later, after spending time behind bars myself.

I know the warden of a capital punishment prison and she said 80% of the prisoners are good people meaning they all had a purpose for their crimes and they thought what they did was the best choice at the time. The other 20% are completely evil and belong in hell instead of prison.

This video failed to specify whether these women are in minimum, medium or maximum security. But judging by the fact that they allow a few luxuries such as makeup, suggests minimum security. And I'm sorry but if your such a great mom then why are you in prison and not at home taking care of your kids? I really would like to know what each is in for. This video just tries to make you feel bad for them without knowing their backstory.
Puteri Balqis (18 days ago)
An ex-convict once said this “the law sentence us for a few years but the society sentence us for life” and no matter how much I’m against with whatever mistake they have done, a lot of people actually do want to change but are not given the chance to. This guy I read wanted to work so bad and change but every single place he interviewed asked him “what if you beat my workers?” (He’s a gang member btw) so he want back to his old life, knowing that whatever he does, it’s hard to regain people’s trust.
