Nathan Leopold and Richard Loeb did not "get away with murder", as indicated here. Although accorded a spirited defense by the brilliant Clarence Darrow, both were found guilty and sentenced to life in prison, though escaping the death penalty --- If you want to call that "winning" (I don't). Loeb
Laura Bush is on the list because, as a teenager, she unintentionally killed a person in a traffic accident. Senator Ted Kennedy drives into some water, flees the scene, fails to get help, and leaves a woman to slowly suffocate and doesn't make the list. The bias is obvious.
3:33 Correction. Both Leopold and Loeb were both sentenced to life in prison. The parents of Bobby Franks, the kid they killed agreed to the sentence, because they did'nt want them to be executed. Loeb was later murdered in prison. Leopold was released after 22 years after being a model prison and educating other prisoners.
No mention of killary? She may not have done the murder but she certainly ordered several. How many people kill themselves with two shots to the back of the head after they left a note that they were happy and not commit suicide? Oh just people who had dirt on killary? Ok just checkin
murder requires intent to kill. while i'm no fan of the bush family, that isn't murder. like legally, that wouldn't be called murder, pretty much anywhere the queen's law has touched. that includes the states. so WHAT? it might be something like negligent homicide, but that is actually a very different thing from looking at a person and deciding to kill them. murder is the intentional killing of another person.
Edward The Drunk Ted Kennedy who killed his lady friend in a rollover where she drowned and he walked away in fear he would go to jail...he truly got away with manslaughter and never had a ping of guilty for killing his lady friend in his drunk driving.
I saw it in the comments already but cant you edit the video to take Leopold and Loeb out? How can you guys be an info channel but your occasionally putting mistaken info. Like in the biographics video where u said Mao Zedong was born in 1883, but he was born in 1893!! I had to stop the video right there because one mistake puts all the information into doubt. Your like Wikipedia now for me. I got to take it all with a grain of salt because you make mistakes and dont correct them. I love you Simon, and your team. Im not insulting you but im just saying... Seriously thats not an "okay whatever dude, i do 10 videos a week i dnt have time to be getting it all 100% right so stfu" its not like that because quality is in the details and honestly 10 years on a persons life is not a detail. Neither is 70 years in prison
Very biased.. nothing about jenner or Clintons. You just lost many subscribers to all of your channels. I used to use & recommend your channels as learning/educational tools, but will never again. This is the last time you have shown bias, that we will accept.
No longer showing any of your channels or videos & never recommending your channels ever again.
Exactly, murder is intentional, Laura Bush was accidental and not malicious or premeditated.
Laura Bush did not get away with murder. She had an auto accident. In the United States it must be it must be intentional to be called murder. Gross negligence that caused someone’s death can be deemed involuntary manslaughter. Regardless, Bush did not get away with murder. If you did this in the United States you would not be charged with murder.
@TopTenz : Simon, based on some comments, it seems that Leopold and Loeb were convicted and sentenced to prson, with one of them having been killed by another prisoner. Why not provide an update, at least a comment, about this?
I'm surprised the guy who invented McAfee antivirus got away with murder. I mean that program is a real danger to society. It doesn't protect against anything, and it gives tons of people a false sense of security.
You need to fire someone! Leopold and Loeb went to prison. Your subtitles do not even match what you said. on September 10, 1924 the Judge sentenced both men to life imprisonment for the murder, and an additional 99 years for the kidnapping. On January 28, 1936, Loeb was attacked by another convict with a straight razor in a shower room and died soon after in the prison hospital. Also, there is no way Laura Bush would have been charged with murder for running a stop sign. Manslaughter maybe.
I think all lawyers (in criminal cases) should be selected from a pool of attorney's... When law enforcement brings a case to the court; the judge would randomly select two attorney's from this pool; one to argue the case for the state and the other to represent the accused... An elected "prosecutor" could still be elected to weigh the evidence brought forth by law enforcement and to act as a go between for law enforcement and the courts, but they would not have any other dealings with the case beyond helping to get warrants and determining wither the case is worthy of a trial. I think only by having two attorney's randomly selected can there be a fair trial for all. No personal defense attorney's. No court/public favored prosecutors.
