We’ve all heard various sayings that decry revenge as being a worthless act that’s beneath any civilized human being. “An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind” said Gandhi. “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves” said Confucius. “Two wrongs don’t make a right” said your parents probably at some point during your childhood.

Did I just wake up in a parallel universe where George Lucas made E.T. The Extraterrestrial..? Is Steven Spielberg a thing in this universe?
Methinks you credited a movie to Lucas that he had no part in. Better apologize to Steven, and be quick about it.
If I started pronouncing London “Lawn Dawn”, would it irritate the host here?
He totally butchered the pronunciation of “Marin County”
And who the hell is “Robert Ebert”?
Do you mean “ROGER Ebert”?
What if we started calling, say, the Beatles
And it’s Siskel and Ebert...not “Ebert and Siskel”
It’s like calling “Romeo and Juliet”, “Juliet and Romeo”
This guy is a wreck.
Great deliveey, from rite out of the gate, Simon Whistler is a master of language arts, and the melodic inflections that each word is properly paired with. Seriously, I believe he has proven to be one of the best narrators his generation has produced to date. I.e.: I am very impressed.
"...he bought a freakin' bear." Simon, once again your pointed and only slightly exaggerated sarcasm is worthy of some of Alan Rickman's finest moments. I therefore award you the very first (and entirely bogus) Alan Rickman Pregnantly Paused Sarcasm award.
My friend is blind and she was on a tram in Melbourne Australia with her guide dog, she sat down and took her phone out because iPhones can be used by blind people with particular settings turned on, a lady across from her said out loud she’s only pretending to be blind if she’s using a phone that’s not a real guide dog, so my friend turned to this lady and took out her prosthetic eyes. Best passive aggressive story ever
Gandhi couldn't have been more wrong...he just extended the thought....That eye for an eye, means. that you can legally take ONE eye, from someone who took ONE eye from you, and that's where it stops........So no, not the whole world blind....Just nicely restricted from going over the top with 'revenge' instead......
A farmer friend of my dad's was blocked from selling a couple of home lots from his farm as a kind of retirement fund by neighbors on the same little road. There is now a 300 foot tall cellphone tower covered with flashing lights.
4:12 I can understand the concern about light pollution and it shouldn't be underestimated. First off, all light going upwards is just wasted energy and it's like volunteering to pay more taxes. It also causes a lot of damage to wildlife because it disrupts their biological clock. Finally, some of that "wildlife" includes humans. There are strong indications that too much light at night causes higher blood pressure, elevated stress levels (which also raises blood pressure) and increases the chance of getting cancer. So yeah, if I'd paid a sizable amount of money for a house in a dark and quiet rural area I'd be pissed too if someone tried to turn it into an industrial zone.
If that damned “church” shows up at my dads funeral they will be sorry and most likely walking home as their bus will not be taking them. My friends and I rolled a bus in high school and could do it again
I wonder if you ever do a video without making massive MFE's? It's "Siskel & Ebert," not "Ebert & Siskel." It's Roger Ebert, not Robert Ebert as you called him at 2:29. You are truly a tuber who lives on voice alone, but nothing higher than your voice box.
@Lori Hanks the bank wasn't declaring anybody to be "of satan", Simon was saying the bank was "founded by satan" as a way of insulting the bank for its tendancy for unethical business.
As for why the family got to forclose the bank, there was a legal settlement that the bank was obligated to pay. As in any legal settlement, if there is a refusal to pay, the one owed the money has certain options available to get the money one way or another. In this case they were allowed to take whatever money was in the bank at that time to get what they were owed.
I hope that answed your questions 😊
I'm a little confused about the BoA situation. Forgive my ignorance and if possible help with an explanation. Who was the bank declaring to be "of Satan"and why did they get to foreclose on the bank and empty the registers? I feel like an idiot for having to ask but I'm confused. Thank you.
Bank of America bought out my mortgage. They double withdrew my monthly payment once. After waiting on the phone for way too long, I decided to contact them through email. Every. Single. Reply. they sent was MAILED to me. Not emailed, MAILED. It went on for weeks. I'd email back a response, they'd mail their reply. Five days later, I'd open their reply. Eventually got it sorted out, but ever since, I'm of the opinion that Bank of America only hires people who put "sadist" under the other qualification section of their resumes.
6:23 OH FREAKING YEAH!!! I agree with that wholesale that is payback on horrible people done right . I can imagine the people who support mister Jackson are applauding the painting of his HQ very highly.
Hi Top Tenz. Reading the lord Byron fact the rule at trinity collage was no domesticated pets. Hence he got the bare stating that its not domesticated it is quite wild. Wold love to here is anyone can back up or debunk this?
I would like it known to the viewer that Satan nor his legions had any part in the founding of The Bank of America. Nor do they endorse, support or affiliate with The Bank of America nor any banking corporation. Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam
