P. Diddy's Kendrick Lamar Response | TMZ
He is the King Of New York of this Generation! Him & J Cole are the future of rap like BIG & 2pac True Legends. Nas is also one of the greats lyricist & Wu-Tang! They put New York on the map no one could lie about it! 100
This guy Vann is so full of shit. KL is nice i will say that. But..if you think that verse was enough to shutup NY rappers you don't know shit. KL is NOT a savage on the mic and i think he confused album sells with true talent. KL is lunch for too many NY cats. I wasn't impressed with the verse but i was with the responses.
Ahhh Dude.... to quote Diddy " I don't have to write rhymes....I WRITE CHECKS!" Sorry I rather be check writer than the worker. Why? IF you getting 80 mil, guess how much the dude writing you the check for it is getting? LMAO
+IcanXposeya and what does small or big gotta do with anything, what u jus said proves Kendrick's point. it really isnt bout the fame....its about how well u can play the game(skill in rapping). So showing who's more popular as a rapper/artist isnt gonna make a u more skilled rapper/artist
L.A. is full of BITCHES!!!! They always claim, "We don't got no beef wit' New York", yet they're always throwing little gay jabs at us, and then retreat behind a fuckin' palm tree!!! Palm trees aren't even indigenous to California...its nothing but a dusty desert, all spread out and shit. You need to drive like 25 mins, just to get to the goddamned store!!! I HATE L.A. (AND Randy Newman)!!! Now the Bay Area is a whole different scene. I LOVE that place.
Bruh for some reason hip hop is more personal. When that whole Biggie and Tupac beef was going down back in the day and smart ass'd East Coast dudes was like fuck L.A., fuck this fuck that I simply told them that since they was aiming it at me they must've wanted their asses kicked. I'm older now and the shit is silly, but I can relate to why he and others feel that way. I ain't got shit to do with it, we're cool. I think that if you're an emcee and you wanna take a jab at someone, then do it at that person. To go at all of NY...good rappers and garbage ones is silly IMO. Too many young wanna be thugs take it like Kendrick (who is a top emcee) was going at their no rappin asses when he was taking shots just to get an effect. Bottom line is hip hop needs a resurgence of quality over quantity. East, West...who cares? I just want some good music. Feel me?
He just said why... he's a New Yorker and Kendrick stated he was King of NY. It's a bit disrespectful, I'm a LA cat and can see why he would take offense. I don't think it's that serious, but I'm not from NY so I wouldn't see it as he does. It's just music though.
I find it interesting ppl say rap is a art, yet the same ppl critique rap styles by one type of style. if you want to be real and really come with the truth and just be honest about it... who is more lyrical then Eminem?
Are you for real ?? Man I'm a stupid white boy form Europe and I can tell you from my side of the world, Jay-Z, P Diddy, or even Drake in a more recent tone, are wonderful entertainers, and I love to blast reasonable doubt in a cool after party, travelling down memory lane.... but man : Kendrick is a fucking POET ! Those 2 albums were incredible from start to end, and I am still trying to memorize the lyrics from the Alright song... Writing, musicality, showmanship, hell... PURE RAW TALENT, you cannot, in my good opinion, sanely compare him to Jay-Z.
Especially regarding raw musical talent (creativity/lyrics quality).
I'm telling you that and I am a Jay-Z fan dude...
On Topic: Kendrick is the fucking king everywhere he lands. Compton boys always be kings somewhere tho...
@Daddy P.H.A.T. Saxxx I hear ya but I cant get into his music like that... I do like a few songs but tbh he doesnt really get me going like the rest of people claim he does.
My main issue is that had rap not been tampered with by the corporate media, he would be the standard in hip hop as opposed to the exception. The way rap evolved from the 80s to the 90s would have lead any reasonable person to think it was gonna be the shit in the 2000s but instead of being the shit it just became shit.
By 90s standards, Kendrick, J Cole, Joel Ortiz and similar rappers would have been considered B- to C Class rappers at best. But because the rap game has been dumbed down, these dudes are considered the next best thing when they're not.... Juts my and a whole bunch of mofos I know opinion btw
+Missy T exactly to me the whole metaphor mean pac came from new York to the west coast n was the king of the west point blank period... Kendrick from the west n feel like he can go to the east n b king... But it wasn't a diss cause he showed respect to er body he jux letting them know step they game up cause he ain showing pitty he being all he can be... Hands down Kendrick great n niggas better step up r get lost
+jan paz True but when Diddy and Dr.Dre die who will be remembered more
I'd rather have a net worth of 500 million and die as one of the most famous contributors of hip hop
Than die with 750 million and never be discussed as one of the greats
Lamard would destroy both of them in a battle, but still he wouldn't stand a chance against Nas.
But on the other side, Diddy is one of the biggets rap moguls with empire. ( Ciroc, Revolt TV and much more )
