David Chandler, Director of the Eagle’s Quest Tai Chi Center, has been “playing” Tai Chi Chuan since 1975. His teaching experience spans from Europe and throughout the United States.
David was formally inducted into the Sun Style in 2008, and he continues his studies directly under Grandmaster Sun, Yongtian in Beijing, China. In 2014, he assisted Grandmaster Sun in teaching this Sun 10 Form at the International Tai Chi Symposium in Louisville, Kentucky.
David also teaches tai chi and stage combat at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neil Theater Center, and is well known for his fight choreography in numerous theatrical productions.
David is a gifted teacher. He has developed a successful program of tai chi instruction for all levels of skill and ability. In addition to his advanced students, David teaches beginners, seniors, assisted living residents, etc. He has developed a special program for patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia and has received grants to further this effort. His delightful presence coupled with peaceful music make his programs a joy to experience!

SUN STYLE TEN MOVEMENT TAI CHI FORM
1.Wuji posture. Tai Chi begins, Raise Hands - Sink, Thrusting Hands out from throat Chakra stepping forward with left foot, follow up step. Shift back, pivot on left, Carrying the Ball, shift, pivot on right, right toes and right fingers point up, Pull Down, step up and Push, follow up step. Heal/Toes Open/Close.
2.Single Whip. Right drawing in, Protect Head and Groin, Empty Step, White Crane Spreads Wings, Step Up and Push, full follow up step. Open/Close.
3.Left Brush Knee, Play Guitar.
4.Twist Step, Twist Step, Step Forward Parry and Punch, Step Back Pull Back, Step Up and Push the Mountain, Heal/Toes Open/ Close.
5.Right Brush Knee, Rollback, Press, Pull Down Step Up and Push, Heal/Toes Open/Close.
6.Single Whip, Draw Right Fist and Foot In, Draw Left Hand and Foot In, Fist Under Elbow, Step Back, Shift.
7.Pivot, Gaze Right, Step Back Repulse Monkey Left, Heal/Toes, Gaze Left, Step Back Repulse Monkey Right, Heal/Toes, Gaze Right, Step Back Repulse Monkey Left, Heal/Toes, Gaze Left, Step Back Repulse Monkey Right, Step Back Play Guitar, White Crane Spreads Wings, Step Up and Push Full Follow Up Step, Open/Close.
8.Hold Egg, Gaze Right, Brush Knee Left, Step Back Play Guitar, High Pat on Horse, Needle At Sea Bottom, Step Into Tiger’s Mouth, Pivot.
9.Step Back Pull Fists Down to Hips, Double Crushing Fists, Pull Down to Left Hip, Press, Step Back Pull Down on Right, Step up and Push, Heal/Toes, Open/Close.
