Summer Solstice Guided Meditation

16:09
JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/JoinTheKula Welcome to your Summer Solstice Guided Meditation! The summer solstice is the longest day of the year. On this day, the sun burns brighter and longer than on any other day. This makes it a time to celebrate into your inner fire - your own little piece of the sun burning brightly inside. This is the fire that nourishes your hopes and dreams. This is the fierce, powerful, badass part of you. The part of you that does the work to bring your dreams to life. The same way that crops could never grow without the Earth’s sun, your life would shrivel and shrink without your inner fire. The summer solstice is also a time to let go of what no longer serves us. To place those things in the fire and release them. In this guided meditation, you will set an intention for the coming months, and begin to let go of anything standing in your way of manifesting that intention. To read more about the summer solstice and its significance, check out the Summer Solstice blog post: https://roamingyogi.co/summer-solstice-2018 If you have questions, get at me in the comments! Full Moon Meditation: Expand + Release

11:26
OIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/JoinTheKula Welcome to your full moon guided meditation! The full moon is a powerful time to release negative habits and limiting beliefs. Energy has been building during the waxing moon phase, and the full moon is the time to release that energy. To unburden yourself, and to take action on the intentions you set at the new moon. To expand into your potential. In this meditation we’ll revisit our new moon intentions. We’ll inquire as to what we need to bring forth in order to see them manifest. And we’ll release those things that are standing in our way; the things that no longer serve us. So sit up nice and tall and let’s expand and release during this full moon! First Quarter Moon Meditation

09:11
YouTube Only: JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/theroamingyogikula Grab your own zafu meditation cushion here + use code RoamingYogi for $5 off: http://bit.ly/BloomZafus This is a first quarter moon mediation. The first quarter moon occurs one week after the new moon. At this point, the moon has reached the first quarter of its orbit around Earth (hence the name), and is now halfway to being a full moon. In terms of our new moon intentions, now is when we start to feel some resistance in the form of challenges or obstacles. Some themes around the first quarter moon are: challenges, decision-making, and taking action. Our week of rest, reflection, and intention-setting is now over. It’s time for doing! Over the course of the next week, be ready for unexpected challenges, keeping an open and flexible mind as they come your way. Keep the intention (or intentions) that you set during the last new moon in your mind over the course of the next week, and make decisions that will ultimately bring about the outcome that you desire. To help bring you into the right energetic space, join me on the meditation cushion for a first quarter moon meditation. I’ll meet you there! If you have questions, get at me in the comments! Travel Yoga for Small Spaces: Grounding Practice

36:23
JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/JoinTheKula Welcome to a yoga for small spaces class that’s perfect pre, post, or during travel! The focus for this class is on grounding. I spent about two years backpacking the globe, and one of the biggest things I learned in that time was the importance of grounding, particularly around travel times. To be grounded is to feel stable. To feel safe and steady. To know that you belong and to feel secure in your belonging. Grounding is important because it’s the foundation we need in order to work on any other aspects of ourselves. It’s difficult to tap into creativity or compassion when we feel unstable. It’s hard to speak our truth or follow our intuition when we feel insecure. Travel can have the effect of ungrounding us. Of making us feel scattered and out of sorts. So travel times are the most important times to practice grounding. You can read a bit more about my travel adventures and the importance of grounding here on blog: https://roamingyogi.co/ This class is sequenced so that you only need the space of a mat to practice in. So it’s perfect for a cramped hotel room, or even the airport. It’s also perfect for your living room, if that’s where you choose to practice :) Now grab your little corner of the world, and I’ll meet you on the mat! If you have questions, get at me in the comments! Full moon energy encourages us to let go of anything that does not serve our dreams, and to integrate new energies or habits that do. During any full moon, we want to make sure that we move our bodies. There’s a lot of extra energy running through us at this time, and it’s important to give it a place to go, so it does not become stagnant. As such, this week’s full moon yoga practice is a fairly fiery vinyasa flow. We’ll get moving and build some heat, helping us to burn up all that is no longer serving us in our lives so that we can then let them go; making space for all of the potential and opportunity that awaits us. To read more about the power of the full moon, click here: https://roamingyogi.co/full-moon-yoga-practice You’ll want one or two yoga blocks for this practice, so go ahead and grab your props, unroll your mat, and get ready for your full moon yoga flow! 108 Sun Salutations for the Summer Solstice

01:50:31
JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/JoinTheKula Welcome to your Summer Solstice 108 Sun Salutations Practice! The summer solstice is the longest day of the year. On this day, the sun burns brighter and longer than on any other day. This makes it a time to celebrate into your inner fire - your own little piece of the sun burning brightly inside. In yoga, this inner fire is known as tapas. In this practice of 108 sun salutations, set an intention for the coming months, and begin to let go of anything standing in your way of manifesting that intention. To read more about the tradition of 108 sun salutations, please read the Spring Equinox blog post: https://roamingyogi.co/spring-equinox-108-sun-salutations To read more about the summer solstice and its significance, check out the Summer Solstice blog post: https://roamingyogi.co/summer-solstice-2018 If you have never practiced 108 sun salutations before, or if you are newer to the practice of yoga, I recommend trying the Spring Equinox practice of 108 sun salutations, as it has many more modifications: https://youtu.be/ElTc-BpB7ZI If you have questions, get at me in the comments! Morning Magic Day 1: Grounding

19:35
Join the Morning Magic challenge: http://bit.ly/JoinMorningMagic Good morning, friends, and welcome to Day 1 of Morning Magic! Our 7-day journey of intention-setting and mindful living. Our intention for this practice and for this day is grounding. Being grounded and present in the here and now, regardless of what might be happening around us. Grounding is the act of connecting your energy with the earth. The earth, which is unyielding and solid. Much of life is unpredictable, and grounding practices help us not only to recover from that unpredictability, but also to prepare for it. So that no matter what life throws at us, we are steady...we are calm...we are grounded. So as you step on your mat this morning, say to yourself: I am here fully. Here with this breath. In this moment...the only moment that truly exists. Crow with Confidence: Crow Pose Practice

43:03
JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/theroamingyogikula Welcome to your crow with confidence vinyasa practice! Crow pose is a pose that I get asked about a lot - how to approach it, how to get into it, how to stay in it. In this class we will build up to crow pose, and we’ll use props to help support us as we get there. Taking the time to build up to an arm balance like bakasana, cultivating the strength where it’s necessary, and utilizing props to support us on the way, is how we approach those poses with confidence. And the biggest lesson of crow pose? To stick with it. You will fall at first. You might give yourself bruises. But come back to it. Be persistent and consistent in your quest toward crow pose, and one day you’ll catch air. And so it is in life as well. To read more about how you can apply this lesson of bakasana, crow pose, off the mat, check out the blog post: https://roamingyogi.co/crow-with-confidence-the-lessons-of-bakasana-crow-pose For now, unroll your mat, and let’s get ready to crow with confidence. Grounding Meditation for Times of Travel

10:39
JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/JoinTheKula This is a guided meditation for grounding your energy around times of travel. Grounding practices like this guided meditation before, during, or after travel, can help us to reconnect with ourselves. So grab something comfortable to sit up on, and let’s get grounding! Strength + Surrender Guided Meditation

11:23
JOIN THE TRIBE: http://bit.ly/JoinTheKula Welcome to your Strength + Surrender Guided Meditation! Strength and surrender are two concepts that, on the surface, seem to be opposites. But if we look more closely, I think we’ll find that they are, in fact, two halves of a whole. In Chinese Taoism philosophy, this is known as yin + yang: The concept that seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent. Like strength and surrender. Surrender requires a certain kind of strength. A softer, more subdued strength than brute strength. And to be strong requires that we know when to let go so we reserve strength.
